In this case, Mr. DiJoseph worked closely with the law firm which represented the estate of a young mother of two, who was brutally beaten, raped, and murdered by a convicted felon released from prison some 13 years early as a result of clerical errors. In handling all of the legal work and appeals in the case, Mr. DiJoseph was instrumental in bringing about the $5.5 million judgment as well as the $3.75 million settlement of the case.

Mr. DiJoseph successfully represented the plaintiff in a significant appeal wherein the Answer of the City of New York was stricken by the Appellate Division for the City’s repeated failure to comply with outstanding discovery orders. This represented a reversal of the original order, which had denied plaintiff’s request for this very serious sanction against the City.
